To track the usage of an extension:
a. Activate the Asset Engine Hours package. By activating this package, you can track extensions as well as the engine hours for the primary asset.
b. Wire the extension to the ignition/engine wire of the asset.
Note: We recommend that the wiring should be done by a professional.
c. Map the extension and asset through the Fleet web portal.
Add the name of the extension (eg-snowplow) and details related to asset tracker. Once the extension is saved, go to the Asset page and edit the asset to which you want to map the extensions.
Once you save the asset and extension details, on any activity of engine hours from asset or usage of the extension will be displayed on live maps as well as on Asset Utilization report.
