The mounting of the device partly depends on the type of powered asset.

For Flatbeds:

  • The device can be mounted inside the forward frame rail or under the trailer roof.

  • Find the appropriate mounting location in the frame rail or under the trailer floor with proper wire routing access that will allow the GV600 device for adequate signal reception.

  • Use the two self-drilling screws to mount the device to the flatbed wood floor.

For Chassis:

  • The device can be mounted inside a forward frame rail with the harness side facing the trailer harness.

  • Find a mounting location under a gusset on the driver's side frame rail with proper wire routing access that will allow the GV600 device for adequate signal reception.

  • Make sure the harness side of the device is towards the trailer harness

Points to Remember:

  • Don't install the device near any moving parts or areas prone to be hit by road debris or high-pressure water spray.

  • Don't install the device close to any heat-radiating pieces of machinery.

  • The device's omnidirectional antennas allow the device to be mounted in various directions (facing up or sideways, facing out).

  • There can be a limitation in the wiring connection observed if the device is mounted under the floor, especially if it is an enclosed metal trailer or container.

Note: Azuga recommends the asset tracker installation be done by a professional installer.
