The mounting of the device partly depends on the type of powered asset.
For Flatbeds:
The device can be mounted inside the forward frame rail or under the trailer roof.
Find the appropriate mounting location in the frame rail or under the trailer floor with proper wire routing access that will allow the GV600 device for adequate signal reception.
Use the two self-drilling screws to mount the device to the flatbed wood floor.
For Chassis:
The device can be mounted inside a forward frame rail with the harness side facing the trailer harness.
Find a mounting location under a gusset on the driver's side frame rail with proper wire routing access that will allow the GV600 device for adequate signal reception.
Make sure the harness side of the device is towards the trailer harness
Points to Remember:
Don't install the device near any moving parts or areas prone to be hit by road debris or high-pressure water spray.
Don't install the device close to any heat-radiating pieces of machinery.
The device's omnidirectional antennas allow the device to be mounted in various directions (facing up or sideways, facing out).
There can be a limitation in the wiring connection observed if the device is mounted under the floor, especially if it is an enclosed metal trailer or container.
Note: Azuga recommends the asset tracker installation be done by a professional installer.
