How do I create a landmark?

Modified on Fri, Dec 29, 2023 at 5:01 AM

A landmark is a fixed marker that helps you identify a place, building or the boundary of a piece of land.  You can add landmarks for locations such as home, work site, gas station, and hospital.

Landmarks let you quickly determine if a vehicle has visited a particular location. Whenever a vehicle is within the configured radius of a landmark, the landmark name also gets displayed along with the actual address of that location in reports and Live Maps.

To create a landmark:

1. Log in to the Azuga Web application.

2. Navigate to the Landmarks page, under the Admin tab.

3. Click Add Landmark.

4. Fill out the form with appropriate details.

a. Enter the Landmark Name and Address. Once you define the address, the location of the landmark appears as a red pin on the map..

b. Set the Radius of the landmark. You can set the Radius in Miles or Meters.

c. Select the Color, Type, Icon, and Group of the landmark.

d. Enter the Contact Information (First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, Email Address).

5. Click Save Landmark

Alternatively, you can also create a landmark from the Live Maps page by right-clicking a location on the map and clicking the Create Landmark link.
