What steps to follow when the SafetyCam is not working?

Please check the below-mentioned LED's to check if the camera is working or not.


1) The camera has three LEDs, each one of them indicating some ongoing activity with the camera:


LED COLOURLED LED MODE / STATEDEVICE STATUS
RED
POWER
ONCamera is receiving sufficient power
OFFNo power is received by the camera
BLUE
WiFi
ONCamera is connected to the GPS device
OFFCamera wifi not working and needs replacement
BLINKINGCamera wifi is in working condition, but the camera is not connected to the datalogger and is in scan mode
WHITE
SD CARD
ONSD card is functioning
NORMAL BLINKINGSD card is functioning
RAPID BLINKINGSD card is not present in the camera or SD card failure
OFFSD card is not present in the camera or SD card failure


2) Apart from the above-mentioned light sequence, the LED lights of the camera have some special states of operation:

  • If all three LEDs are blinking rapidly at the same time: The camera is going through a firmware/config update and will restart in a few seconds. 

  • If all three LEDs not turning on: Something is wrong with the camera and might need a replacement.
