No, the proper installation of the SafetyCam is the responsibility of the user. Since SafetyCam does not have any such facility, it will record the videos no matter how it is placed unless it is getting the power supply and is connected to the OBD. As a reminder and precaution, we will be giving a note for this in the user manual.
Note: A popular area to mount the SafetyCam is behind the rearview mirror so it does not obstruct the view.
