What is Vehicle Operational Cost?

Vehicle Operating Cost (VOC) refers to the cost of vehicle usages. This includes costs for fueling, maintenance, repairs etc. VOC is calculated by multiplying the distance traveled by the vehicle and cost per distance. The default value of cost per distance is $0.71. You can change this value.


To change the cost per distance a vehicle:


1. Navigate to the Vehicles page, under the Admin tab.

  

2. Click the edit button (pencil icon) corresponding to the vehicle.


3. Enter the new cost per distance value in the Cost Per Mile/KM text box.


4. Click the Update button. 


To change the cost per distance for your entire fleet:

  

1. Navigate to the Config page, under the Admin tab.


2. Click Web and select the General tab.


3. Enter the new cost per distance value in the Cost Per Distance text box.


4 Click Save.


To view the VOC associated with each trip:

1. Navigate to the Trips page, under the Reports tab.  

2. Using the date picker, select a time frame. 

3. Select the groups/vehicles to include in the report.  

4. Click the radio button corresponding to the filter you wish to use.

5. Click Generate Report

Please note that VOC calculation on reports will reflect for subsequent trips after the edits are saved.
